When Shooting you should work on the main elements of proper shooting technique

Feet - Knees - Elbow - Wrist - Grip

When you have worked on the proper shooting technique test yourself with the following shooting challenge.

Do the challenge for six weeks and see if you can beat your score each week.

  • You have 60-seconds to make as many baskets as you can from four locations
  • A lay-up (or within five feet from basket)
  • A free throw
  • A shot from the right and left side just outside the key
  • A basket from close range will be worth 1 point
  • The free throw will be worth 5 points
  • You will get 3 points for each shot outside the key
  • Each participant will rebound his/her own shot
  • After 60-seconds you will take a “hit or miss” tie breaking shot from three-point range
  • You get a bonus 10 points if you make this shot

So get shooting and good luck with your game!
Remember good technique is vital if you want to become a great shooter.
